Sangita Sardar Escaped from Curse of Child Labour

Background: Sangita Sardar is very joyful in her character and enjoys her study in the center. She also enjoys drawing. They live in a small house with mud made floor, bamboo and sack wall and tiles roof. She loves to study with his friends in the class. Suddenly for the last few months she became irregular in the center.

Problem Statement: One day teachers with peer group met with his parents for open discussion with her family. It is been identify that they gave birth a new tween baby as her siblings. In this situation, Sangita had to work to help her mother such as housekeeping including cooking as her mother unable to do so.

It is worthy to be noted that her father was busy few days during the delivery of the babies which resulting the lost his job. To cope up the situation, he borrowed some loan. However, he was in search of Job to repay the loan. Sangita shares that she would discontinue her study and in search of job to earn money to support her father. This is the reason for her absent at the center.

Support Provided: Project Teachers visited her house to inspire her and assured her for education support. Teachers made her realize the importance of education and requested to continue her study. Teachers and children cabinet use to visit her house frequently. Teachers motivate her to attend the center if she gets time but Sangita was silence.

Results: As a result of Teachers and peer group visit to her house and encourage to continue her study; finally,in spite of their poverty, her parent agree to continue her education.

Feedback:Now, Sangita comes to the learning center regularly and studding well. She and her parents are very happy to continue her study to fulfill her dreams.
