Recovery and Rehabilitation to “REMAL” Cyclone affected family in Namkhana & Patharpratima Blocks.

On 26th May 2024, Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘REMAL’ has been landfall  with heavy rain and  wind speed of 120 to 135 kmph. The lion shares of the cyclone-affected area is located in project operational area of Palli Unnayan Samity Baruipur. The  routine maintenance works of the embankments didn’t take place in every corner of riverbanks as the rivers crisscross in the Sundarbans Island. The cyclone damages crops and vegetable as agricultural livelihood. The Dy food Packet distributed among the 2000 cyclone ‘REMAL’ victimized  families as emergency humanitarian  response.

Objective

To offer assistant in alleviating the primary losses experienced by the victims of cyclone Remal

Activities

Provided Dry Rations, Hygiene Kits, Shelter Kits to 2000 households

Achievement

Cultivate a friendly rapport among the victims, which will assist the PUS in its future rehabilitation and development strategies.
