Free Learning Centre

Free Learning Centers is the supplementary education to shape better future to 175 selected children belongs to Marginal Farmers and Migrant labor families. The project is providing Morning and Evening free tuition along with  Exercise Books, Pen, Pencil, Pencil Cutters, Eraser, Drawing Books, Color Pencil, School Uniforms, School Bags, Water Bottle and Nutritional Diet & Medical Checkup to the selected children from Nursery to class VII followed by Joyful learning methodology (Games, Drawings, Rhymes, Action song and other co-curricular activities.

Initially, the teachers identify subject wise strength and weakness of each student and follow up their educational progress accordingly. Regular home visit and Monthly parents meeting conducted to further follow up the educational progress of individual children.

Objectives

Objective: I To promote Free Learning Centre in 5villages in Basanti, Mograhat II, Mathurapur II Blocks in District of South 24 Parganas first and foremost qualitative educational development for 175 targeted pre-adolescent boys and girls irrespective of caste and creed and religion through providing Educational equipment, Nutritional diet and Health Support.

Objective II: To motivate the community to support this Free Learning Centre as their duty and responsibility towards neighbourhood children as they themselves can bring a resilient change in their own conditions toward peace, justice, equality and joy.

Objective III: Linkage the targeted children to access Government educational schemes so that they may access qualitative education and secure better future.

Achievements:

  • The functional Educational Committees are very active to monitor the activities and  progress of each centre.
  • Linkage Meeting build up rapport among Project staffs, Parents, PRI and Local Teachers which help to access better  qualitative education of the children.
  • Parents Meetings shares subject wise strength and weakness of all individual children and follow up jointly to improve the educational progress of  weak children.
  • Among the  175 students, 95 of them have ranked from 1st to 10th position and balance 80 students promoted in the upper classes during last academic year 2024.
  • All of them Improved in Reading, Writing and Calculation Skills.
  • The members of the children’s club foster positive behavior and improve their artistic skills in Drawing, Singing, Recitation, and Sports.
  • Civic sense develop among the Targeted children as they taught up and practice Courtesy at centers. The targeted children are in shaping and molding process towards obedience, good respect to their parents, relatives and elders.
  • Good habit of personal hygiene builds up among the children is maintained with regular monitoring and follow up by the teachers. Soft skill practice in the class towards human potentially as personality development to be a complete man.
