SAD Langalberia Education Project is located in 9 villages of Langalberia Gram Panchyet under Sonarpur Block. The project is providing Free Evening Tuition along with Education Materials, Toiletries, Medical checkup to 338 disadvantaged children from Monday to Friday.
The Project team consist of 47 staffs consisting of Project coordinator, Project Associates, 28 community Teachers; 4 special teachers, 3 extra curriculum teachers, Accountant and 9 cleaning assistants who taking care of the project.
The home visit plan and its follow up conducted regularly, more emphasized to the students, who are frequently absent and performing poor studies. The parents meeting conducted once in a month at all the centers to follow up the educational progress of the students. The TLM has been used for better understanding of the students. Based on the educational evaluation of individual child; the teachers committed their extra effort to their subject wise weakness.
The children cabinet formed and strengthen as peer group for strengthening the quality of leadership among children. Apart from studies, the students are also taking part in Co-curriculum activities, sports and cultural events. The parents gradually realized the importance of education and send their children to school and our center regularly.
The international organization like UNDP, OMS, UNICEF confirmed the operational guidelines of prevention and sensitization amongst the new generations. The intervention is the vehicle of change in the rural Education & Health behavior, transforming the lives of the marginalized children. It is to be noted that that problems cannot be solved alone or by a single agency. The funding Agency and partner organization get together to pool their resources, skills and talent for the betterment of their Education integrated with Health & Nutritional status.
