The project generates awareness on the negative impacts of underage marriage, trafficking, school dropout, and child labor through various meetings, training sessions, and workshops. Underage marriage forces girls out of education with increased risk of violence, abuse, ill health or early death. The project activities are challenging movement as gender-based violence. The community is often silent to underage marriage; despite existing legislation that penalizes sex with minors. Negative health aspects of Underage marriage are teenage pregnancy. Underage marriage limits the opportunity for education to shaping the future of young girls, consequently entrapping them in the poverty cycle as unskilled labor.  The awful impacts of underage marriage to adolescent girl hamper their sexual health and well-being.

Altogether 29 Gram Suraksha Bahini (GSB), 29 Kishory Suraksha Bahini (KSB) and 29 Child Parliaments formed and strengthen to performed as watch-group against underage marriage and other forms of violence against women and young girls.

Major Achievements

1. The incident of underage marriage has been reduced in target villages as a result of regular meetings 37 Child marriage have been stopped by GSB & KSB with the support of local police and PRI administration.
2. 75% GSB and KSB performing effectively to reduce, underage marriage, school dropout and child labor.
3. 18342 community women came to know about the awful results of underage marriage.
4. All the CVCs are link with local police station and toll- free helpline phone No. 100 and 1098 for child helpline for the help for rescue the trafficked women.
5. 50% of the GSB Members functioning more actively to aware about the bad effect of underage marriage, school dropout, child labor and different trap and temptations of Trafficking.
6. Altogether 963 adolescent school students aware about bad effect of underage Marriage making aware to their friends, neighbor and relative.
