Major Activities for the Month of  December 2024

World Disable Day 2024: On 3^rd December 2024, “The World Disable Day- 2024” conducted at 11:30 A.M. Altogether 204 children with disabilities and their mothers participated in this Program. Ms. Alexia, Ms. Sarah and Ms. Georgia the FADV volunteers from Italy were participated in this programme as guests. DCC children took part drawing competition and student of beautician centre performed dance and recitation. Fr. Saumen Malik, the Director of PUS shared mainstreaming of the disabled children. The Celebration was concluded with thanks to all the participants’ guest, parents and children. The tiffin packets served to all the participants.

Certificate Awards Ceremony for Spoken English and Computer Training Course

On 6^th, 11^th and 13^th December 2024, PUS Baruipur Conducted Certificate Awards Ceremony among 70 students who has completed Spoken English and Computer as need based Vocational Skill Training under three project, namely CREAM project, supported by Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, Manos Unidas and Calcutta Sponsor Aid Committee, Belgium.  Fr. Saumen Malik, Director of PUS Baruipur hand over the Certificates to the students and wishes their best future.

Stakeholder Meeting with children with disability

On 17^th December 2024, PUS Baruipur conducted Stakeholder Meeting with the children with disability under DCC project. Altogether 188 children with disabilities and their mothers participated in this Program. Local ANM & ASHA were invited as guest and shared about the Government welfare schemes and Rights of Children with Disabilities for Health, Education, Sports & Culture and betterment of Livelihood. The mothers are enlighten through their massage that these children are gifts of God who needs your love and care towards their physical and mental fitness.

The Joy of Christmas with Neighbouring Children: 

On 20^th December 2024, Palli Unnayan Samiti Baruipur shared the joy of Christmas with the Neighbouring Children. The program begins with lighting the lamp by Rev. Kanauj Roy, the Vicar General of Catholic Diocese of Baruipur as the Chief Guest of the day. In his speech, he shared Christmas massage and encouraged the children to enjoy the day and have a good education for their better future. The Neighbouring Children contested in different sports and 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd ranked holders in each game were awarded with prizes. Food packets served to all the children and their parents as to share the joy of Christmas.

Sharing the Joy of Christmas with 125 needy Families

On 21^st December 2024, Palli Unnayan Samiti Baruipur Distributed 125 Blanket as winter cloths to the poor families as Christmas Gifts.

Annual Get Together of PUS Staffs:

On 23^rd December 2024, there was an annual gathering for the PUS Staffs. All together 121 staffs participated in this Get Together and exchange their gifts to each other with a game. The PUS staffs members presented Songs, Recitation, Performed Dance, Nativity of Jesus and also took part in Games.  Rev. Fr. Saumen Malik, Director of the PUS Baruipur appreciated to all the staffs for their dedicated service to the people in need throughout the year and wished whole hearted support and cooperation for the next Year – 2025.  The day was ended with sharing the Dairy, Calendar, Cake and festive lunch.
