The project provide medical, Physiotherapy, educational and vocational support for inclusive development of 135 Children with Disabilities in the District of South 24 Parganas.

The Inspiring Journey of Debika Paul and Her Mother

Family Background: Debika Paul is a 20 years old girl with right leg deformity by birth. She lives in Shikharbali village under Baruipur Block. Debika’s father expired by Cancer while she was five days baby. Her mother return to her fraternal house with her. Her mother is a wages labor and somehow managing their survivals.

Debika underwent an operation for the dislocation of her hip joint and Tibia and fibula but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. Debika became unable to walk and she has been confined to sitting on the bed for the past seven years.

Support Provided: PUS Baruipur provided support for school admission; she was enrolled her in school and faced many challenges in school. In the beginning, her mother used to carry her to school, and as she grew older, she attended with the assistance of a catcher. She has completed Class XII.
